We're Here!
We finally made it to San Antonio! It was a 2 day trip, 6+ hours 1 day and 8 hours the next. Sean will be reporting for duty tomorrow morning, so he will go to the Air Force Base while I start taking care of apartment stuff. After reporting, Sean will have 8 days to get personal affairs in order before starting work. It will be nice to be in our own place again, although we will have to wait almost 2 weeks for our stuff to arrive. Once our stuff arrives, Sean will have another 8 days off to get things taken care of. It will be wonderful to finally get settled!! Our cat, who is closed in yet another hotel bathroom right now, agrees!
We are excited about all the new things we have coming up. . .Dani has a job interview to be a substitute teacher next Monday. We have a few promising churches we want to visit. We love that we are in warmer weather (70's today) and look forward to just a 2 hour drive to the ocean. Sean is pleased to be working as a critical care nurse in a place that truly values his skills. We have many family members living nearby who we want to get to know better.
Of course, all of these new things mean a somewhat lengthy adjustment period as well, and we realize it won't all be roses. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers. We'll keep you posted!

Yea! You made it!
Dani and Sean, as you might know by now, there's a message on Dani's phone. I plan to try again tomorrow to check in with you. While you are waiting for furniture to arrive, if you want to get together with family, probably with some food, we are eager to oblige.
Thanks for the update! I'm glad you guys will have some time together with Sean having quite a bit of time off to get things in order! I know you need paperwork, etc. You should be settling into your apartment with the bare necessities now. We are shuffling things around here, but have a long way to go! I found the box of appliances in the storage place under the house--there was a toaster in there!! The one in the cupboard must have been yours! We miss you both a bunch, but are so happy for all the opportunities and adventures ahead of you!
Love, prayers, and hugs,
Xx Oo
Mom
Mom was pretty excited about all that stuff she found tucked away in the crawl space that she had forgotten she had. It was like Christmas! She is rapidly filling up the empty spaces you left. :) I'm glad you're there and are starting the adaptation to the new life process. Have fun!
ok you bragger-70 degrees!! It is suppose to be in the teens the next few days. Are you ready for visitors yet. My old bones are already starting to shiver. Got my shorts and sun screen packed. Glad you are safe and the cat is being a cat. Mike says HEY. Call soon. Love Ms
Are you proud? I left my message from my blackberry. Tell Sean I'm going to surpass his tecnical abilities ::) (NOT)
Great job, Melo. You are a regular tech geek now. As soon as we get settled in, there is an air mattress with your name on it. ;)
