He Did It!
Well, for those of you who don't already know. . .Sean took the GRE on Wednesday morning and got the score he needed to be accepted to the Air Force master's degree CRNA (certified registered nurse anesthesist) program!!!
The next step is to send in his application and put together resume-type packets for each CRNA school.
There are two schools the Air Force uses for CRNA training. One is an Army program that is based here in San Antonio, the other is a Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences program based in Bethesda, Maryland. Both programs end with clinicals at another Air Force Base. San Antonio's program has clinicals at Travis Air Force Base near San Francisco. Bethesda's program has clinicals at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio. Sean will apply to both programs, but we're hoping he'll get accepted to the training program in Bethesda.
We won't know if he has been accepted, and which program he will be sent to until the Fall. If accepted, his classes will begin in June 2008. We'll keep you all posted.
