An Unconventional Holiday Season
How's 'bout we do Christmas after we ring in the New Year? Sounded good to me. Turns out it's really all about being with those we love.

The "bag of dirt" is actually a plant bulb from my Mom that has been in the family since her great grandmother. She was passing it on to each of her daughters.
I didn't want anyone to think I actually got just a bag of dirt for Christmas. :)
We're so glad to see the happy "together again" pictures, Sean and Dani! Congratulations on getting through those four months!
Remember you are always welcome at our house.
Love,
Uncle LD and Aunt Jackie
Awwww! It is so nice that you finally got to have your REAL Christmas--together! It does our hearts good to see the happy pictures!
Love and Hugs,

What is Sean's book? Do tell. It is wonderful to see you both together looking so happy! It was a difficult time, but you are safely on the other side. You made it! What are the favorite holiday movies?

"Sean's book" is a photo album I made for him through Apple with pictures from his deployment. It starts with pictures of his preparations to leave, then includes pictures from around base, then pictures of work, friends, fun, good memories etc. I surprised him with it!
Our current favorite holiday movies are "A Charlie Brown Christmas", "The Grinch Who Stole Christmas" and, a new one this year, "White Christmas". :)
Hey Sean, congrats on making it back home safe. Still waiting for my turn. Bye the way, don't be surprised if we link up with you guys again in MD, this time. Hopefully will get more time to talk this time, rather than in the hospital at Balad. Take care.
Sgt. Matthew Everly
Thanks, Matt. I pray for your safety and that your remaining time in Iraq goes by super quick.
BTW you'll have to keep us posted on your quest to become a warrant officer.
Sean
