2 Weeks In
Just thought I'd give everyone an update on how we've both been doing now that Sean has been in his master's program for a little over two weeks. Sean just had his first three tests on Monday and Tuesday, and can happily report that he passed them all! He got an 90 (after the grading curve was applied) on his Neuro Physiology exam, an 85 on his Anatomy Lecture exam, and a 94 on his Anatomy Lab exam (again, both after the curve). Whew! Needless to say, several classmates and spouses went out for beers last night to celebrate!
Now, on to more studying for the next bout of exams. Sean's schedule has been as busy as we expected, which my parents can attest to, having visited for 4 days last week and only seeing Sean for maybe 4 hours the entire time. He goes in to school a little before 6:00am, gets home around 8:30 in the evening, eats supper, studies some more and goes to bed by 10:30. His schedule is pretty much the same on weekends too, except for Friday evening which he spends with me, and Sunday morning when we go to church. All other weekend time is spent studying.
I've gotten used to Sean being gone most of the time, and have been keeping busy taking care of everything at home and volunteering at a magazine in DC on Tuesdays and Thursdays. This week, I also start taking Cooper (our dog) to Summer obedience classes on Saturdays. I've done a little exploring of our area by myself on the metro, and also went to the pool yesterday, both of which I'm sure to do more of over the summer. I hope to have a few family visitors over the next few months, which I'm looking forward to as well!
Anyway. Just wanted to let you all know we're adapting and surviving! Thanks to all for continuing to be considerate of Sean's lack of free-time.

Yes! We can attest to how hard Sean is working on his classes and were praying that his diligence would pay off! He told us many people fail those first exams or get a D. The amount of material they covered is amazing! A big "Congratulations!" to Sean for a job well done.
Also, Danielle deserves credit for the way she is so supportive and helps defend his time and helps him study in anyway she can. One night when we were there, she had cards with human bones and the names of every protuberance or crevice on that bone, and as Sean pulled a bone out of his suitcase and named the parts, she corrected or approved the names! They are both sacrificing for this degree! We are very proud of them both!
Love and hugs from both of us to both of you! xo xo Mom and Dad
But wait there's more...the rest of the grades have been curved. I edited the post to reflect the final grades.
I managed to stay slightly above the class average for all my exams. So after the curve I almost look like a top-notch pupil.
Way to go Sean! Way to go Danielle! Carpe diem! Chase the dream!

Before the curve, his scores were in the 80's. This is even better! Yeah for sweetie!!
Even more wonderful! AND, you ARE top-notch, Sean, in every way! We are very proud of you! Mom and Dad
Hang in there, Sean and Dani! You are both doing your part! We are proud of you!!!
Love Uncle LD and Aunt Jackie
Hi! It is great to catch up on what you 2 have been doing. I noticed your blog on Hil's blog...so I decided to check it out. Way to go Sean on all your studying, and I thought I was busy!!!!
We went to high school with Andrea, and have spent a little time emailing back and forth with her this week, catching up. We were happy to hear from her and to learn how she and her hubby are doing!
