Sacred Marriage
book
Gary
Thomas
A good marriage is not something you
find, it's something you work for. It takes struggle. You
must at times confront, and at other times confess. But
eventually it pays off and creates a relationship of beauty, trust, and
mutual support. . .
It helps when we view our struggles in light of what they provide for
us spiritually rather than in light of what they take from us
emotionally. . .If I'm in my marriage for emotional stability, I
probably won't last long. But if I think it can reap spiritual
benefits, I'll have plenty of reason to not just be married, but act
married.
Recreating with Eyes of Faith
article
John
Fischer
It was actually quite
arrogant of us to think that God could only speak the truth through
Christians.
Unless everything was Holy Spirit breathed and anointed from beginning
to end, it was not to be trusted. . .
To consider the secular a threat to faith is to give huge ground to the
enemy before a battle has even begun. Christians
have claimed so little in this world. We have been like children
playing in a red wooden sandbox on the edge of a beautiful white sandy
beach that stretches as far as the eye can see (and we brought our own
sand).

The
Pressure's Off
book
Larry Crabb
I don't have to find a
way to feel good before I love.
I don't have to make my life work before I can glorify God or benefit
others.
